Keller Fire Station 2, constructed by Cooper General Contractors in Keller, Texas, highlighting modern design and expert municipal construction services. Originally built in 1994, Fire Station No. 2 is 5,583 SF and was originally designed to accommodate 6 firefighters; it now has the capacity for 7 firefighters. Cooper GC was selected to renovate the fire station, and the renovation scope of work including the following:

  • Improved parking accessibility and building access
  • New flooring in the kitchen, laundry, dining, vestibule, watch room and hallway areas
  • New flooring, wall tile, paint and accessories in the restroom/shower areas
  • Replaced the exterior finish of the building
  • Installed new roof, gutters and down spouts
  • Replaced the sectional bay doors in the apparatus bays
  • Installed a new HVAC system
  • Installed a new apparatus bay ventilation system

The new 4,978 SF remote building behind Fire Station 2 serves as a support services building to house reserve fire apparatus, storage, and equipment for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteers.

Station 2 remained operational throughout the entire project.
