Durham Park

Location: Richardson, TX
Description: This new 1-acre park includes a shaded gathering space, butterfly garden, playground, and open play lawn. It quickly became a center gathering spot for the Richardson Heights neighborhood and frequently hosts block parties, movie nights, and other local events. The Greater Dallas Planning Commission Awards (GDPC) gave the park an Honorable Mention in the Built Project Award category, which honors projects that improve the character, sense of place and fabric of the community, and catalyze positive change in the built environment.
